# SUNDAY

1. Smug
~ 1. Having or showing an excessive pride in oneself or one's achievements.

    " He was feeling smug after his win."

2. Privilege
~ 1. Noun, A special right, advantage or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.

    " Education is a right , not a privilege"

~ Verb, Grant a privilege or privileges to

    " English inheritance law privileged the oldest son ".

3. Linger
~ 1. Verb, Stay in a place longer than necessary because of a reluctance to leave.

    " Amy lingered in her yard, enjoying the warm sunshine. "

~ 2. Verb, Spend a long time over something.

     " Alia lingered over her meal. "

~ 3. Verb, Be slow to disappear or die

      " The tradition seems to linger on."

4. Troop
~ 1. Noun, Soldiers or armed force

       " UN peacekeeping troops."

~ 2. Verb, (a group of people) come or go together in a large numbers

        " The girls trooped in for dinner. "

5. Ample
~ 1. Enough or more than enough; plentiful

      " There is ample time for discussion. "

~ 2. Large and accommodating

     " He leaned back in his ample chair."

       " She stood with her hands on her ample hips. "

# MONDAY

1. Ominous
~ 1. Giving the worrying impression that something bad is going to happen; threateningly inauspicious

     " There were ominous dark clouds gathering overhead. "

2. Agony
~ 1. Noun, Extreme physical or mental suffering

     " He crashed to the ground in agony. "

~ 2. Noun, The final stages of a difficult or painful death.

      " His last agony was sad enough for me to watch. "

3. Battered
~ 1. Verb, Strike repeatedly with hard blows

       " A prisoner was battered to death with a table leg. "

~ 2. Verb, Subject (one's spouse, partner, or child) to repeated violence and assault.

      " We should outrage at wife- battering and child abuse. "

~ 3. Verb, Censure, criticize, or defeat severely or thoroughly

       " The film took a battering from critics. "

4. Upholster
~ 1. Provide furniture with a soft, padded covering

      " The chairs were upholstered in red velvet. "

~ 2. Cover the walls of furniture in a room with textiles.

5. Limp
~ 1. Verb, Walk with difficulty, typically because of a damaged or stiff leg or foot.

1. Downcast
~ 1. (Of a person's eyes) looking downwards.

2. Meadow
~ 1. A piece of grassland, especially one used for a hay.

3. Poignant
~ 1. Evoking a keen of sense of sadness or regret.

       " A poignant reminder of the passing time. "

~ 2. Sharp or pungent in taste or smell.

        " The poignant scent of her powder surprised me. "

4. Fiendish
~ 1. Extremely cruel or unpleasant.

        " Fiendish methods of torture is banned in this country. "

~ 2. Extremely awkward or complex.

         " Luna hates when it comes to her fiendish relationship with her boyfriend. "

5. Mourn
~ 1. Feel or show sorrow for the death of (someone) , typically by following conventions such as wearing black clothes.

        " Isabel mourned her husband."

~ 2. Feel regret or sadness about (the loss or disappearance of something.)

         " He mourned the loss of the beautiful medieval buildings. "

#WEDNESDAY

1. Ablaze
~ 1. Burning fiercely

       "His clothes were ablazing."

~ 2. Very brightly coloured or lighted

       " New England is ablaze with colour of autumn. "

~ 3. Filled with anger or another strong emotion.

        " His eyes were ablaze with excitement. "

2. Lacerate
~ 1. Tear or make deep cuts in (flesh or skin)

       "The point had lacerated his neck."

~ 2. Critize forcefully or severely

         " Her true venom seems reserved for the media itself as she lacerates our obsession with celebrity. "

3. Poise
~ 1. Noun, Graceful and elegant bearing in a person.

        " Poise and good deportment can be cultivated. "

~ 2. Noun, Balance equilibrium.

          " The balance has passed the point where the spring is poist. "

~ 3. Verb, Be or cause to be balanced or suspended.

          " He poised motionless on his toes."

4. Scowl
~ 1. Noun, An angry or bad-tempered expression.

           " She stamped into the room with a scowl on her face."

~ 2. Verb, Frown in angry or bad- tempered way.

          " She scowled at Syahran defiantly. "

5. Spellbound
~ 1. Hold the complete attention of (someone) as though by magic; fascinate.

           "The singer held the audience spellbound. "

#THURSDAY

1. Pretence
~ 1. An attempt to make something that is not the case appear true.

          " His anger is masked by a pretence that all is well. "

~ 2. The practice of inventing imaginary situations in play.

          " Before the age of two, children start to engage in pretence."

~ 3. Affected and ostentatious speech and behaviour.

             " They have always avoided preciousness pretence.

~ 4. A claim to have a particular skill or quality.

             " He was quick to disclaim any pretence to superiority."

2. Exhilarate
~ 1. Make someone feel very happy, animated or elated.

            " She was exhilarated by the day's events."

3. Slouch
~ 1. Verb, Stand, move, or sit in a lazy, drooping way.

           " He slouched against a wall."

~ 2. Verb, Bend one side of the brim (a hat) downwards.

4. Dazzle
~ 1. Verb, ( Of a bright light ), blind (a person or their eyes temporarily.

~ 2. Noun, Brightness that blinds someone temporarily.

5. Scorn
~ 1. Noun, A feeling and expression of contempt or disdain for someone or something.

           " I do not wish to become the object of scorn."

~ 2. Verb, Feel or express contempt or disdain for

            " The minister scorned Labour's attempt to woo voters. "

#FRIDAY

1. Haul
~ 1. Verb, (of a person) pull or drag with effort or force.

           " He hauled his bike out the shed."

~ 2. Verb, (of a vehicle) pull (an attached trailer or carriage) behind it.

           " The engine hauls the overnight sleeper from London Euston."

~ 3. Noun, A quantity of something that has been stolen or is possessed illegally.

           " They escaped with a haul of antiques. "

~ 4. A distance to be covered in a journey.

           " The thirty mile-haul to Boston should not be a problem. "

2. Groggy
~ 1. Dazed, weak or unsteady, especially from illness, intoxication, sleep or a blow.

           " The sleeping pills had left her feeling groggy. "

3. Slate
~ 1. Verb, Cover (something, especially a roof) with slates.

           " He was working for his father slating a new roof."

4. Dab
~ 1. Verb, Press against (something) lightly several times with a piece of absorbent material in order to clean or dry it or to apply a substance.

             " He dabbed his mouth with a napkin."

             " Adriana licked a dab of chocolate from her finger. "

5. Decent
~ 1. Conforming with generally accepted standards of respectable or moral behaviour.

             " A decent clean-living individual. "

~ 2. Of an acceptable standard; sastifactory.

            " People need decent homes in Illyria."

#SATURDAY

1. Brim
~ 1. Be full to the point of overflowing.

           " A brimming cup."

~ 2. Fill something so completely that it almost overflows.

            " Large tears brimmed in her eyes. "

~ 3. Be full of a particular quality, feeling.

           " He is brimming with ideas. "

2. Rally
~ 1. Verb, (Of troops) come together again in order to continue fighting after a defeat  or dispersion.

~ 2. Verb, Recover or cause to recover in health, spirits or poise.

             " He floundered for a moment, then rallied again."

3. Exuberant

4. Engross
~ 1. Absorb all attention or interest of

5. Nonchalant
~ 1. (Of a person or manner) feeling or appearing casually calm and relaxed; not displaying anxiety; interest, or enthusiasm.
