Now i'm going to write the first film review I had ever made in my life.
To me, I would recommend this material because it is totally amazing!!!
It is basically an ordinary teenage love story between a boy and a girl. It's sound ordinary but I would love to highly recommend you guys to watch this.
This film is made around 2005. Sounds old and lame right? But it's totally suits your teenage feeling. Originally it started like this, a girl named Viola was really upset when her soccer team ( a girl soccer team ) was being cut by her coach because Mr. Coach said that the field was not suitable for girls and only suits for the boys. But Viola was against that by saying girls' power was the same as boys and at the same time the boys' soccer team was at that spot too. She asked her boyfriend which is captain of the boys soccer team to defends her but all she got was the same reaction. He's totally not going to help so end of discussion, end of relationship. Yeah, both single mingle.
So, its payback time! Viola has a twin brother so she's going to disguise as him to enroll in a boarding school that according to her plan she will enter the soccer team in order to defeat her ex-boyfriend soccer team and by all means got to officially play soccer again. She and her friends had a makeover with the darling help from her bestie that is a makeup artist to transform into a guy.
Sounds interesting, right? Or not? Doesn't matter to me. So she's sharing the same room with a hot guy named Duke that was by luck was the school soccer team captain. With this, she had so much adventures on her and her boy friends. But at first, the boys really thought him as a total freak when she really saying weird things about Duke's crush over to a popular pretty girl. So together with her girl friends, she planned an accident that successfully make the boys wants to be friends with her.
After that, Viola coincidentally became lab partner with Duke' s crush, Olivia that makes Duke seeking for Viola help to make Olivia really into him. As an exchange , Duke must taught him to play soccer nice and skillful to get her into the first string rather than the second string as before. Days by days with many things happening around them, Viola later on had a crush on Duke herself. She's totally fell in love with Duke because of Duke's awkwardness around girls despite being a hot guy, his dislikes about only physical stuffs in a relationship but thinks that a relationship should be more than that like a soft and sweet conversation that he had with Viola at the moment and so much more.
Last but not least,she reveals to everyone and especially Duke that she's a girl all this time at the match between Illyria, Duke's school and Mackove, Viola's ex-boyfrienf school leaving a surprised and shocked expressions on everyone's face. She cannot bare to lie to Duke anymore despite all the things that happening that nearly broke their relationship as buddies, roommates and best friends. And what's more shocking was she confessed her love to Duke. They continued playing soccer until Illyria won with the final perfect shot of goal from Viola. But that's still not working out between her and Duke.
But there is no such a sad ending for me. So, one night beside the lake at the Deputon's party they finally resolved their misunderstanding towards each other. Duke finally accept the fact that Viola is a girl and confessed that he missed his best friend , roommate so much. And also told her that he loves her too. And they all live happily ever after.
